I do have a lot of now already but many of the illustrations look "classic" as well...meaning outdated and not very engaging for my kids. This book is great though. This cute little book is currently in the number one spot of bedtime stories for my younger daughter. The rhymes and illustrations are great. Only one problem she likes it so much it keeps her awake, so I recommend you keep a few less stimulating books on hand to finally get them to sleep.
Finally found the original!
Why is it so hard to find the original version of this story? I found five monkeys and an alligator, five monkeys sitting in a tree and even five monkeys washing their car...
I now have finally found the original story of five little monkeys being naughty and jumping on their bed. Nothing like the classic. It's so nice to be able to share a classic with my kids!
I bought this book for my nephews and they love it! Like all kids, they already know the Five Little Monkeys nursery rhyme which makes them feel like they can read along too. The repetition is great and they are already recognizing (and reading!) words like "jumping" and "monkey" on their own. This book stays true to the original and that's where it shines. The colorful illustrations are brilliant as well.
